Great Ayton One Place Study is the latest addition to the One Place Studies Directory.
Great Ayton lies on the edge of the North York Moors approximately three miles north-east of Stokesley. The River Leven runs through the village.

The village was the boyhood home of Captain James Cook and a museum bears his name. The study includes Little Ayton and the hamlet of Langbaurgh.
The website is well-worth exploring by One Placers as it contains detailed analysis of population, census and includes reconstitution etc. We shall highlight some of these in future articles on our website.
