Fife Criminal Registers with Photographs & Electoral Registers

Ancestry have added Fife Criminal Registers to their Scotland record collections.

The dates of the registers according to Ancestry cover the period 1910 to 1931 but on closer inspection crimes as late as 1948 are included.

The Criminal Registers include various information about the criminal, the crime and sentence, in particular:

  • Age
  • Height
  • Occupation
  • Nativity (Birthplace)
  • Complexion
  • Hair
  • Eyes
  • Marks
  • Date on Conviction
  • Crime or Offence
  • Where & how convicted
  • Sentence

Many records include photographs as well.

Ancestry have also added Electoral Registers covering the period 1914-1966.
